Set up a ChartHop connection to bring employee roster data into Cube. Use the data to analyze the drivers of your people costs and perform employee-level planning in your plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Finding your API token
Note - depending on your organization's ChartHop security settings, you might need admin access to view your API token.
- Navigate to the Apps and Integration page in ChartHop.
- Find the "ChartHop API Key" and click Configure.
- You should see your API token on this page. Keep this tab open while you continue to the next step.
Add the ChartHop Connection
- On the Source Data page, select the Other Sources tab.
- Click +New, then select ChartHop.
- Enter the API token from the ChartHop API page and click Connect.
- Success!
Mapping to Cube
- On the Source Data page, select the Other Sources tab.
- Identify the new ChartHop connection and, under the View menu, click Mapping.
- For each ChartHop dimension, select the name of the appropriate Cube dimension.
Import ChartHop data
- On the Source Data page, select the Other Sources tab.
- Identify the new ChartHop connection and select Import Data to open the import drawer.
- Select a time frame for your data import by adding start and end dates.
- Add default dimensions for any unmapped values.
- Click Import Data.
- You will receive an email notification once the import is complete, letting you know whether the import was successful or failed. If it fails, the email will identify any errors to assist in correction.
