Reports give you access to up-to-date, structured views of your financial data—no spreadsheet required.
We are currently rolling out this update to our current reporting and workflows features. You'll see it in your Cube soon!
When a report is shared with you in Cube, you can open it from the Reports page in the Workspace or view it from an assigned task. If you prefer to work in spreadsheets, reports are available there, too.
No matter where you access a report from with Cube, your access to the data in the report will be aligned with your user permissions. Learn more about data access controls in Cube.
Open a report in the Workspace
To open a report:
- Go to the Reports page in the Cube Workspace.
- Locate the report by name or use folders to browse.
- Click the report name to open it.
You’ll see the saved layout, including formatting and supported formulas, as it was published from the Spreadsheet App, along with a filter panel that you can use to pull different sets of data into this report.
Open a report attached to a task
If you’ve been assigned a task with an attached report, you can view the report from the Workflow page.
- Go to the Workflow page in the Cube Workspace.
- Click on the workflow.
- Open the task assigned to you.
The attached report will open in the task view so you can use the same report filters and fetch the data needed to complete the assignment.

Open a report in the Spreadsheet Apps
Reports are also available to open in the spreadsheet.
- Under Build in the Cube Spreadsheet App, click Open.
- Click the report you’d like to open (it may be in a folder).
The report will populate and fetch the structure, formatting, formulas, and values into your sheet and update the name of this tab.

Use filters to customize the view
If the report includes filterable dimensions (like Department, Entity, Scenario, or Time), they’ll appear in the sidebar in the Workspace or in the range in your Spreadsheet App.
- Adjust filters to explore different slices of the report
- Use the Fetch button to refresh data for your selected filters
Regardless of the dimensions and data used to build the report, Cube fetches only the data you have permission to view.
