The dashboard is where your data gets visualized based on your specific preferences and dimensions. Each Cube user on the account has the ability to customize the dashboard to get real-time insights into what matters most to them.
That means every time you log in, your customized dashboard will be visible only to you and can be adjusted anytime.
To customize your dashboard, you'll need to apply filters to what we call cards (the blocks of data for visualizations):
1. Select your year and filters from the top right of the page to access your Global Filters.
The filters you select in this section will apply to all your dashboard cards.
Your Global Filters include any top-level dimensions in your Cube. Under each top-level dimension, you can select a specific dimension.
For example, as a Marketing Director, you may want to see data specific to your department only. In that case, you'd select Marketing from the drop-down for departments:
2. Next, select the top four metrics to display at the top of your dashboard to understand how you're performing year to date or to reflect on past years:
3. Finally, customize the data displayed in your graphs by clicking on the at the top-right of each graph card.
By default, you have three graph cards to customize:
Income vs Expenses
Compare income vs expenses accounts:
Cash on Hand
See the changes in cash on hand based on your select cash account:
Scenario Comparison
Compare two scenarios based on a select account:
Once you've made all your adjustments and customized each filter, every time you log in, you'll be automatically directed to your dashboard to gain quick insight into what might need your attention.
