When you import data to Cube, you can import source data to any Scenario. This is useful when populating additional Actuals scenarios or rolling forecasts or for quickly starting a budget or forecast scenario from existing Actuals data.
However, if you can't select the scenario from the import dropdown, you may need to adjust its write protection settings first because only scenarios using Actuals write protection are allowed for imports. To change the write protection settings on the scenario, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Dimension page under the "Scenario" tab or directly to the Scenario page under the Planning section in the workspace.
- Click on the Edit icon on the right.
- Expand Write Protection
- Select Actuals and Save.
Now, this scenario will appear in the dropdown when importing. Learn more about importing data to Cube.
