Occasionally, Cube will make updates to our Excel add-on. When this happens, Desktop Excel usually automatically updates to the latest version. However, some users have certain IT restrictions that prevent automatic updates for Excel Add-ons. Luckily, it’s a very easy fix to uninstall and reinstall.
Update to the Latest Cube Add-On Version
On Windows

Remove/Uninstall Cube from your Add-ins.

Click
Insert > Add Ins > My Add Ins
. -
Hover over the Cube Add On and click the three-dot menu that appears in the upper right.

Choose “Remove”.

Re-install Cube.

Click the “Office Store” button that appears and search “Cube.”

Click “Add” next to the Cube Add On and “Continue” in the dialog that appears.

On Mac

Remove/Uninstall Cube from your Add-ins.

Click
Insert > My Add Ins

Hover over Cube and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right-hand corner.

Click “Remove” and confirm by clicking “Remove” in the dialog that appears.

Re-install Cube.

Click the “Microsoft AppSource” button that appears. Search for “Cube.”

Install the Add-On by clicking “Get it now” and confirming through the dialog that appears.

Click the big “Open in Excel” button that appears.

You may see a warning about a file extension mismatch. Click OK.

You may also need to click “Trust this Add In” in the right-hand Add On panel within Excel.

Note: Supported versions of Excel are the Consumer versions of Excel 2016 and beyond and O365. The Commercial versions of Excel are not supported.
