Rename a table, add scenario datasets, review associated scenarios, and delete a table you no longer need, all from the table settings panel.
Required permission: Finance Users can manage settings for tables they created. Admins can manage settings for any table.
Rename a Table
- Open the table.
- Select Edit Mode. Change the name of the table and click Save.
Add a scenario
- Open the table.
- In View Mode, select the scenario dropdown.
The new scenario appears in the scenario switcher. You can then switch to the new scenario, make edits in Edit Mode, and select Save
Note: Scenarios cannot be removed from a table at the schema level. If you no longer want data for a scenario, delete that scenario's row data instead. The table schema, meaning its columns, types, sharing, and formulas, is shared across all associated scenarios.
Delete a table
- Open the table.
- In View mode, click on the menu to the right of share, and select Delete Table.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a table removes all of its data across every associated scenario.
Example
An analyst opens the Employee Roster table, selects + Add Scenario, selects Forecast v2. Forecast v2 appears in the scenario switcher as an exact copy of Budget, with calculated columns recomputed. The analyst edits Forecast v2 and selects Save. Budget data is unchanged.
