How to Re-Parent or Re-Order a Dimension

Need to make some changes to your Cube Chart of Accounts hierarchy? It's easy! Follow the steps below to begin rearranging.

How to re-parent a Dimension 

1. From your Cube portal, navigate to the Dimensions page, and click on the Dimension name you wish to re-parent - or click on the 3 dots on the right of it and select "Edit Dimension" 
2. Once you are in the editing drawer, type or select the new parent Dimension
3. Save the Dimension

How to re-order a Dimension

1. From your Cube portal, navigate to the Dimensions page in the far left sidebar
2. In the top right corner of your screen, you will see a small gear icon for “options”
3. Notice the “enable reordering” box is not checked - simply check this to allow our drag-and-drop feature to rearrange your dimensions
4. You’re all set
