Source data flows into Cube during an import according to the source dimension to Cube dimension member connection, or mapping. Because data rolls up from child dimension members to parent dimension members in your data hierarchy, children can be mapped while parents cannot. Review a dimension member's mapping in two ways:
- From the Dimension page, by opening the dimension member details
- From the Integrations page, in the mappings for a source system
From the dimension member details
From the Dimensions page, click the dimension member name or the Edit icon to the right. Then, open the Mapping section to see the details:
Parent dimension members hold data that rolls up from their children and will not have mappings; only child dimension members contain mappings.
From Integrations
From your Integrations page, click the three dots next to the connected source system and then Mapping to open the mapping details:
If the mapping needs to change, click Edit Mapping. Here, you can search or filter and then select a different dimension member from the Cube Dimension dropdown for your data source to map to. Learn more about mapping dimension members.
If you need to add a new dimension member, see how to add one quickly from the mapping page.
