Folders group related content in the Library. A single folder can hold any mix of reports, files, URLs, and sub-folders.
Required permission: Manage personal files or Manage all files (Files permission set), or the Reports equivalent. Users without a Manage permission do not see the +Folder button or folder actions.
Create a folder
- On the Library page, select + Folder.
- Enter a name for the folder.
- Select Save.
The new folder appears in the list. Folders are grouped above other content.
Open a folder
Select a folder row to drill into it. The folder name appears in the breadcrumb path at the top of the page, next to Library.
Navigate back out of a folder
Select any level in the breadcrumb path to return to that level. Select Library to return to the top level.
Note: Filters and search apply within your current folder. Drilling into a folder scopes the list to that folder's contents.
Edit a folder
Use the Edit Folder modal to rename a folder or move it into a different parent folder.
- Select the More menu on the folder row.
- Select Edit.
- Update the folder name, the parent folder, or both.
- Select Save.
Note: You manage folder sharing through the Sharing drawer, not the Edit Folder modal. See Manage sharing in the Library
Delete a folder
You can delete a folder only when it is empty. Move or delete the folder's contents first.
- Select the More menu on the folder row.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Note: If the folder still contains content, deletion is blocked. Empty the folder, then delete it.
