Consistently keep your source system’s data in sync with Cube by scheduling regular data imports from your source systems daily or weekly, based on the day and time you choose.
Cube automatically identifies new dimensions and maps them based on your default settings.
To schedule your imports, select Source Data from the navigation bar on the left-hand side of your Cube portal.
Next to your source system, click on the to open the scheduler.
- Select the date range from the drop-down or create a custom range.
Currently, date ranges are static, but exciting changes are on the horizon! Dynamic date ranges will be introduced soon. In the meantime, we suggest setting the date range to the current year.
This way, Cube will effortlessly recognize and seamlessly incorporate new months within the calendar year.

If weekly, select the day. - Time of day (by default in EDT, in hour intervals)
Note: If your source system installation utilizes an Atom, schedule the import for when the computer that hosts that Atom is online. If you’re unsure if this applies to you, contact your CSM.

- Select a scenario to import your data. Only scenarios with actuals write protection will be available.
- Set Default Dimensions for each top-level dimension. For example, [Dimension] - Other.
Note: Any new dimensions found will be mapped to this corresponding top-level dimension default. After each completed import, you'll receive an email informing you of any newly discovered dimensions mapped to this default.
- Select to schedule your imports and repeat each source dimension you’d like to automate schedule imports for.
Moving forward, you’ll receive an email notification every time your scheduled import runs, notifying you of the new dimensions mapped. You can remap these dimensions anytime.
