Issues with publishing data can spring up for various reasons. Below are the most common error messages when attempting to publish data and solutions to overcome them.
Error publishing data
You may run into an error if a publish is in progress and you attempt to publish again. This could be a publish you've initiated or one of your team members, and will likely take a minute or two to complete. Try publishing again in a few minutes.
Cube will confirm that the publish is complete with a message in your Spreadsheet App, and you'll be able to see the recent publish in the audit trail.
No data for publishing
This issue can occur when the sheet has become disconnected from Cube, and Cube can no longer find writable cells in the range.
To resolve this, recreate your sheet and range in a new tab with the same cells, validate the range, then try to publish again.
Unpublishable dimension members
Dimension members that are parents, tags, formulas, or those with write protection cannot be published to, and the Spreadsheet App will block your ability to publish until publishable dimension members are selected in your range.
Review the rows, columns, and filters that make up your range and ensure they have child dimension members selected. Sometimes, this error can occur when the wrong filters have been applied.
