Launch every Cube AI agent from one page: ask Charlie a question in plain language, run a curated FP&A prompt, or pick up a session you started earlier.
Required permission: Use Charlie, in the Cube AI permission group. This permission is available to Business, Finance, and Admin users by default. Contact your Cube admin to enable the AI Hub for your organization.
Open the AI Hub
- Open the Cube Workspace.
- Select AI Hub in the AI section of the side navigation.
Note: The AI section sits directly below Home. Planner and Smart Variance moved here from Planning and Reporting & Analytics.
What's on the page
The AI Hub has three parts:
- Charlie, at the top. Ask a question in your own words, or start from one of the suggested actions below the ask bar.
- Explore Agents, in the middle. Browse Cube's prompt catalog by agent team, preview any prompt, and run it.
- Learn and Get Started, at the bottom. Guides for AI preferences, the Planner Agent, and running Cube prompts from external AI tools.
Ask Charlie a question
Charlie reads the financial data already in your Cube and routes your question to the right agent team. You do not need to name a scenario, a report, or an agent.
- Enter your question in the ask bar.
- Select the send button, or press Enter.
Charlie opens a new chat session and answers there.
Questions to try:
- How much of my marketing budget have I spent this quarter, and where are the biggest cost overruns?
- What's our current cash runway, and how does it compare to last quarter?
- Why is G&A over budget in March?
Run a suggested action
The cards below the ask bar are common FP&A questions. Select any card to start the conversation immediately; there is nothing to fill in first.
The set of cards changes each time you open the AI Hub, so revisit the page to see different starting points.
Browse and run agent prompts
Explore Agents holds Cube's catalog of ready-made FP&A prompts, grouped into four agent teams.
- Select a team filter: All, Analysts, Planners, Business Partners, or Data Managers.
- Select a prompt from the list. Its full text appears in the preview pane.
- Select Run in Charlie, or Run in Planner for prompts on the Planners team.
Cube starts a new session with that prompt already sent, and takes you to the conversation.
Note: Which prompts you see depends on your permissions. Planners prompts and the Planners filter appear only if you have the Use AI Planner permission. Several Data Managers prompts require an additional permission, such as Manage Dimensions or Source Data.
Edit a prompt before you run it
Every catalog prompt is a starting point. Adjust one to your own periods, departments, or entities before it runs.
- Select a prompt from the list.
- Select Edit in the preview pane.
- Revise the prompt text.
- Select Run in Charlie or Run in Planner.
To discard your changes, select Cancel or press Esc. The prompt returns to its original text and nothing runs.
The four agent teams
Analysts
Variance analysis, month-end close and reporting, financial analysis, SaaS metrics, sales and revenue analytics, and headcount analytics. The largest team.
- Revenue Variance Driver Analysis: analyze revenue for the most recent quarter versus budget and identify the largest variance drivers.
- OpEx Variance by Department: break down OpEx variance for the most recent quarter across all departments against budget.
- ARR Bridge Analysis: build an ARR waterfall showing beginning ARR, new business, expansion, contraction, and churn.
- Month-End Flash Report: generate a preliminary flash report for the most recent closed month.
Planners
Budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and executive planning. These prompts run in the Planner Agent, which writes scenarios back into your Cube.
- Budget Scenario Model: build conservative, base, and aggressive budget scenarios across all departments.
- Cash Runway Stress Test: stress-test runway under a revenue shortfall and a longer collection cycle.
- Hiring Delay Impact Analysis: model the P&L impact of delaying planned hires by one quarter.
- Long-Range Financial Plan: build a five-year plan with annual P&L and headcount.
Business Partners
Board and investor materials, executive and internal communication, and strategic analysis.
- Board Meeting Prep Summary: prepare a CFO briefing covering the top financial wins and risks.
- Investor Update Draft: draft the financial section of a monthly investor update.
- All-Hands Financial Narrative: write a quarterly financial narrative for a non-finance audience.
- Year-End Landing Projection: project year-end EBITDA from YTD actuals and current run rates.
Data Managers
Data quality audits and close process reviews across your chart of accounts and dimension hierarchy.
- Dimension Health Review: audit the current dimension hierarchy and identify optimization opportunities.
- COGS Misclassification Audit: find OpEx accounts that should be classified as COGS.
- Negative Balance Audit: flag asset accounts carrying a negative balance at period end.
- Close Automation Review: map manual steps in the most recent close and assess automation feasibility.
Return to a past session
- Select History in the Explore Agents header.
- Select the Charlie or Planner tab.
- Select any session to reopen it and continue where you left off.
Sessions are listed with their name and when they were last active.
Note: The Planner tab appears only if you have the Use AI Planner permission.
Data access and security
Every request from the AI Hub runs inside your own Data Access Scope. If you cannot open a scenario, entity, or dimension in Cube, Charlie and the Planner cannot read it on your behalf either.
Admins with the Administer AI permission set organization-wide defaults and preferences for every Cube AI feature.
